Background: here's this and this for general summaries and if you really want something here have fun with this which is summaries of all the episodes that focus on Ash himself. And if you really want something Bulbapedia also has a summary for every episode to have aired so...

Personality:

Ash is, quite honestly, someone that if you wanted to can easily be described in just a few simple words. Determined, energetic, and spirited would be the first thing that might come to mind. This is because these words are, essentially, what Ash is. A spirited energetic kid who is determined to become the greatest Pokemon Master; the best that there ever was. It isn't often when you will ever see Ash without energy. No matter what Ash is ready to go out and accomplish his goal all while meeting and making new friends, spending time with current friends, and facing any rivals and other kind of trainers in order to reach that goal. Whenever he is faced with a new challenge he will tackle it with all the determination he has and never backs down from a challenge. If, by chance, he ever does back down from a challenge it's normally because of a very good reason, or it's because he's held back from doing so for reasons such as something occuring or weather. In any other case, though, he'll accept any battles that come his way even if he's tired as he normally seems to have reserve energy on hold just for battling. That said, if he sees a trainer that he really wants to face he'll do whatever he can to eventually get a battle from them, even if it takes a few times to do so. If, for whatever reason, the trainer declines the challenge he normally asks why they have declined it. If it's for a good reason then he'll respectfully accept. On the other hand though if it's for a reason such as 'he's too weak' then he won't accept the answer easily.

Although Ash's determination is what people often see it's really his kindness and loyalty towards others that have gotten him far, even though he's at times kind and loyal to a fault. Ash is that kid who can befriend just about anyone, even if they don't seem to get along at first. This is because Ash loves making friends on his journey and as such he's just really, really easy to get along with. Friends are super important to Ash and often the friends that he makes he pretty much makes for life. And even if someone isn't exactly his friend he will still help them if it's for a common goal. Countless times he has helped Team Rocket with either a common goal, or because Team Rocket needed help with something. Even though there had been plenty of times where he would help Team Rocket only to be turned against he would still help or side with them again if it's not just in his best interests, but more so in the best interests of a Pokemon. This isn't the case with just Team Rocket, either. There have been times when Ash had met someone only for them to not be what Ash expected. But if it's someone Ash knows has a good heart he would then try to make them see eye to eye, or rather in the Pokemons' best interests (which are usually his own, anyways).

That said, Ash can be very reckless with his actions, from blocking a Pokemon move so it doesn't hit a Pokemon to jumping off a building to catch a Pokemon. In fact he can get reckless to the point where he is very willing to even knowingly risk his life if it's to save a Pokemon, such as when he nearly kills himself saving Mew with his aura. Bascially, if something is in trouble he is there and usually doing whatever he can to help no matter what the consequences might be to him. He would never risk the life of another Pokemon for any matter and would rather take it into his own hands. However, if it's something that he shouldn't take into his own ands, like a matter between Pokemon he'll back off. But it doesn't mean he won't go and be supportive. He just won't take action. Sadly, this sort of thing doesn't matter often and as such he's normally diving into situations where his friends are telling him to not do it because it's dangerous.

But of course, he does it anyways.

It is true that Ash is someone that can easily be made friends with. Due to that being the case, this means that Ash can sometimes be swayed into becoming friends who are the enemy, and even going to far as to trusting an enemy for a while. But even with so much kindness there is a side to Ash that can hate someone else. There are things that Ash dislike in someone, and will think negatively of them if they are to show these traits to the trainer. He considers his Pokemon as friends who deserve the same kind of respect and anyone else in the world. Because of his way of viewing the relationship between Pokemon and Trainer, those who simply choose the 'best of the best' or push their Pokemon far beyond their limits upset Ash. This is because he believes that every Pokemon can be strong, just as long as you give it the time and kindness that each and every Pokemon deserve. To Ash, they are not just tools that someone can use so they can be the best. Thus, any one who believes that, or don't care about the bonds a Pokemon and Trainer can and should have, are usually on Ash's bad side.

Despite all these 'heroic' actions that he's done to help other humans and Pokemon and despite his success Ash is actually very down to earth. When he first started his journey he had an ego and would boast about his accomplishments. Now he doesn't really say anything about them and at times actually get a little embarrassed when someone brings up his achievements or how well his Pokemon are trained. If not that, then he would comment on it before switching to another topic, normally about the person he's speaking to rather than himself. In fact, himself seems to be the last thing he will talk about even so much that he never seems to talk about his other companions to anyone very often, either. If he were to talk about anything to anyone, it would most likely be his Pokemon.

This is because his Pokemon are just as precious to him as his human friends if not more so. He supports his Pokemon just as much as they support him and he often forms a very close bond with them. Due to this his Pokemon tend to pick up on character traits from Ash after they spend time with him. Ones that might not show too much affection might show up later in time (ie: Hawlucha who was pretty stoic when was first caught. Now he smiles more often and even hugs Ash after a long hard battle), while others learn to support other Pokemon or not do things on their own accord (ie: Frogadier who was abandoned by trainers before Ash for being difficult because it would do its own thing). Some, or perhaps many, also tend to be like him in ways such as really enjoying food and always willing to have a battle. And of course, always willing to try their best and help out someone else even if it could possibly be risky. The bonds between Ash and his Pokemon is tight and it shows quite a bit during their interactions. He supports them in whenever they do and will display that support very loudly (ie. Noibat learning how to fly).

Almost at the top of the list of loyalties are his companions that he have traveled with. Then it is his Pokemon; but there is a friend of his that is above everyone else, and that is Pikachu. Pikachu, being his first ever Pokemon, is Ash's number one companion. Ash and Pikachu have become two peas in a pod, practically inseparable. When there is ever a case of Ash and Pikachu becoming separate from each other both will go through leaps and bounds in order to become reunited. To Ash, even if it means risking his life he would go through what he has to do in order to gain his electric buddy back. When the two of them are together, Ash and Pikachu often act alike; a true case of a Pokemon becoming much like its trainer. Even during moments when they do not approve of each other's ideas both Ash and Pikachu pull through, eventually finding even ground and compromising. But very rarely these two would ever get into a fight, and if they do it's really only because one of them is doing something dumb (which, in most if not all cases, is Ash). Frankly, if you do not see one without the other then there must be something terribly wrong.

While not so much as his Pokemon (and of course, Pikachu) he forms tight bonds with the people he travels with as well. Just like his Pokemon they tend to form a support group. While there are more ups and downs with his human companions he generally gets along with them well. When they do argue, it's often only about little things, and very rarely it's about something big. And, just like most friendships, Ash and the others do get frustrated with each other, but the more he travels with them the closer they get. Ash actually depends on his friends and Pokemon on his journey; not having had gotten as far as he had without their friendship and support. However, there's only so far Ash can get with relationships though. When it comes to friendship there are no bounds, but in Ash mind that is where it seems to stop.

Friendship and familial love aside, Ash doesn't really understand the concept on love. He loves his Pokemon and he loves his Mom and he'll say these things. But if people are talking about romantical love around Ash he doesn't have a clue on what they're talking about. If anything, he might be thinking about the two they are talking about becoming really good friends, best buds, or any type of friendship. Love, however, simply goes right over his head. This doesn't mean that he doesn't know what marriage is though. He know what marriage is, but he has absolutely no interest in it and as such doesn't even have such an interest in romantic relationships. So in the end he doesn't notice when someone has a crush on him (ie. Serena) though of course it doesn't stop him from being friends with him. Just don't count on him realizing your crush anytime soon. If at all.

Because of the close bonds that he often shares with Pokemon Ash has a special way of finding their inner strength. He finds these strengths with friendship and the close bonds he develops with his Pokemon rather than the strength that you first see upon meeting it. This is why, although he is happy when his Pokemon evolve, Ash leaves it to his Pokemon to evolve, rather than training them simply to evolve and become stronger. Not only that, but he's always, always thinking of his Pokemon and their happiness before his own. He almost never makes decisions that isn't what the Pokemon wants (unless, of course, the Pokemon doesn't want him to risk his life but he does it anyways for them. Or something along those lines). Due to finding their inner strengh though, Ash has an unorthodox style of battle that ends up being unpredictable to other trainers. Often this is shown when Ash brings out a Pokemon that is weaker to his opponent's Pokemon full well knowing that it's the case. This type of battling style suits him well, as Ash himself is also often unpredictable; heading into things without thinking first and sometimes even saying things before he could think about the consequences. His unpredictablity is something that often leaves others in a state of confusion. In the end though, everything that Ash does is with spirit and courage along with full trust of his Pokemon. Often he believes that what he is doing is the best thing that he can do at the time.

To this effect, Ash has grown a lot since he has first begun his journey. In the beginning he didn't have an idea what he was doing, and didn't think his moves through. While Ash still slips from time to time, Ash has actually grown enough to come up with ideas of how to deal with situations on the spot. However, coming up with strategies before a battle is not Ash's style, so to speak. It is far easier for Ash to come into a battle with an idea in mind, but keep it open enough so that he is not fighting with just a strategy, but fighting with his and his Pokemons' spirit. Ash is well aware of this too: if someone asks him if he has a stragety he won't hesitate to confidently say that he doesn't. With that said, Ash will train any Pokemon that he catches, and even Pokemon that he had not caught if the need the help. It is thanks to his maturity of that as a trainer that he is able to do so. While he loves to win and, just like every other trainer, hates losing Ash has learned to understand defeat. It shows that there is room for improvement and that is what Ash is striving to do every day. There have been times that while winning was an intention, helping his Pokemon to become the best they can be and develop a strong bond with them is far more important. Thus even after a loss he will compliment his Pokemon for their efforts with no regrets.

Ash still can make a lot of mistakes just like any other trainer. They could be something simply, or he could suffer a huge burnout and end up forgetting things. Even information so simple as to what gender his Pokemon is, or an attack that is good or bad against another Pokemon. But despite everything Ash is always true to himself and others around him. He often speaks his mind and rarely keeps things to himself. Of course, this as well has gotten him in trouble plenty of times, but that doesn't stop him. He can also be very impatient sometimes, such as when he wants to go to the next gym, or when he is hungry and the food is cooking. On top of that, he's hungry a lot and when he is really hungry it's probably best to feed him as soon as possible. But none of this means that he hasn't learned what to do and what not to do. What to say and what not to say under certain circumstances. There are plenty of examples of this, from paying a little more attention to his surroundings to maintaining the ability to stay calm in situations where it is needed. This ability has grown tremendously recently, being able to see openings in a opponent's stragety and deveoping a strategy based on what he notices. There have even been moments when he's noticed something the trainer themselves didn't, such as Clemont and his Helioptile during their gym match.

Overtime Ash has gotten a lot more mellow, especially in the company of his already mellow companions. When he first started his journey he would get easily riled up. While he doesn't do this anymore it doesn't mean that it is impossible. There are still plenty of ways to get Ash riled out, such as picking on him or his mistakes. Especially if you call him things such as kid, or even worse, call him weak. These aren't things that will get him riled up for long, mind you. Normally he will simply pout, or make a comeback himself. Teasing his friends also go along this line, as he will be quick to defend them as much as he can and even make snappy comebacks if it comes to that.

Then there are things that will really get Ash angry. For one, you do not mess with his Pokemon. Trying to take his Pokemon will lead to him doing whatever he can to get them back even if it means jumping in front of a vacuum or getting launched into the air to get on an airship. You do not say anything bad about his Pokemon, especially Pikachu and his bond with the electric mouse. Even worse, you do not put Pikachu in his Pokeball. Do not even think that Pikachu is in his Pokeball. And of course, you can't forget that Ash is a momma's boy. You do not hurt or steal his Mom otherwise he will do absolutely anything to get her back (well, as well as Pikachu. But really. Don't touch her). Any of these things really push Ash into a breaking point to where he might even physically show how angry he is, such as pounding his hand against a door. But otherwise, he really doesn't get so angry that he gets violent. There are very, very few times when he even attempt to hit a Pokemon. One time being Mewtwo and one other time being to save himself from being squeezed to death.

Overall, Ash has a really broad range of emotions. While most of the thing he's happy, determined, and ready to go for some action, there are times when he can actually get pretty depressed. Either because of a huge loss, or because a Pokemon is really hurt. He's usually a mellow kid who tried not to get his buttons pushed but he's just that: a kid. Push the right buttons and he can get quite riled up, as well as stubborn as he can get very defensive on his point of view. He's not against crying if he gets really upset, such as a Pokemon dying or him breaking a promise either. But despite everything Ash continues to look forward, never looking back (which might be why he doesn't speak of himself or anything that happens, such as his multiple deaths).

To sum this all up, Ash is a determined, friendly kid full of energy. He's always ready to go on an adventure, never backs down from a challenge, and depends on his friends and Pokemon for support. Ash is prone to making a lot of mistakes, but he learns from them and continues to do so everyday while he works towards his dream. Ash is always willing to help others, no matter who or what they are, if they are in trouble. Even if it means risking as much as his own life to help them out. Despite being a strong individual deep down inside Ash is just a kid. He has the full range of emotions of one, as mentioned above. But even with his many, sometimes childish, antics Ash pushes forward and easily influences others to also become determined and courageous. He's simply the type of guy that will make friends with almost anyone, and does as long as there are no big stepping stones to cross first. And if there are stepping stones he will do his best to cross them if he's determined to become friends with said person. If there is one thing that is most important to Ash it is friendship.

Abilities:

Immortality: This kid is ten and will always be ten

Ash is, for the most part, is pretty much an average ten-year old human. However, there are a few things that can be considered abilities such as his endurance, strength, as well as his climbing abilities. Ash seems to be able to withstand a lot considering how much he risks his life, and on more than one occasion he's carried something massively heavy (such as a huge log). These two aren't so great that he's a super human, but he has been able to withstand Pokemon attacks fairly well (it's a hit or miss though. Some can knock him right out). As for the climbing bit he's been called a Mankey/Aipom on multiple occasions, but none of this is really that impressive when you put him next to something actually not human.

Though there is one thing about Ash that, while likely won't be used in Emp, is still an ability. Because Ash is a descendant the Aura Guardian Aaron, Ash has access to aura powers. He won't actually use these on his own, but Ash can sense Aura better than others in a way, especially if their aura are connected in some way. But that's pretty much it for actual unnatural when it comes to Ash.

The Pokemon that he will be bringing, on the other hand, have plenty of abilities up their sleeves. First off his Pikachu, his fist Pokemon and his partner. Pikachu (as you probably already know) is a small yellow mouse capable of using electricity. It has a powerful thunderbolt, though you should never underestimate its other moves such as electroball and iron tail. His second Pokemon, Frogadier, is a ninja water frog. It's capable of duplicating itself using double team and can quickly manuveur like well... a ninja. Don't forget about its powerful water pulse or the froth around its neck that it can also use for battle. Next is Fletchinder, Ash's bird Pokemon. It's a fire/flying type and can use Flame Charge to not only light itself on fire but also raise it's speed. Also has attacks such as Steel Wing and Razor Wind. Fourth is Hawlucha, his luchador bird. Hawlucha is very good as wrestling and uses many of such as tactics while battling. It also enjoys attacking from the air with its signature move, Flying Press. Last is Noibat. Noibat is a newborn that was just hatched. It's just recently learned how to fly and really only know supersonic. But chances are it'll be learning how to do more during its stay in Emp.

With Ash as a trainer and his Pokemon there beside him they can be an inevitable force. Especially as some of his Pokemon won't hesitate to take actions into their own hands if Ash is injured.

Alignment:
Peromei

If there is any emotion that is driving Ash it's hope. From catching a Pokemon, to beating a trainer or gym leader, to as big as his ultimate goal: to become the greatest Pokemon Master. I can say so much more in how this fits Ash the most, but I think that in itself gets the gist of it.

Other:
Nope. Other than his way of speaking will probably be more what I see in the subs than in the dubs because that is what I watch more. Also because Rica. Everything will be the english terms though, such as towns, pokemon, moves, etc.

Other than that Ash will just have a few things in his backpack when it comes. His Pokemon Pokeballs, change of clothes, pajamas, badge case, etc, but most importantly his Pokedex. Since it's only function is well.. looking up Pokemon it should still work? Though it's really up to you guys.
